Saturday, 04-24-10 Her doctor’s appointment on the 16th went well.  She has been released from any limits as far as therapy or walking - her only limits are what discomfort she can stand.

 

Her husband, Donald, fell at home, and is now in the room beside her at The Arbors.  He is recovering well.

 

Friday, 03-19-10 - Betty had the pins removed from her shoulder; her shoulder doesn't hurt.  X-rays did not reveal any new breaks.  The infection that she had has gotten better.

 

She is standing up in therapy now - limited weight.

 

She has another Doctor's appointment on Apr 16, where he will evaluate whether she can go home then.

 

Wednesday, 03-10-10 - She really likes The Arbors, in Clyde, where she is going to therapy twice a day now.  She said that the therapists really seem to suit her; she likes the food there.

Friday, 02-19-10  - She is still at the rehabilitation facility, and may  be there for a few more weeks.

She is still undergoing physical therapy daily.

She is in good spirits.

- She welcomes visitors, but please call to make sure she’s not in physical therapy.

Saturday, 01-23-10 - She is continuing to do well - she’s in good spirits, and is not in need of any pain medications.  We don’t know right now when she will be leaving the hospital.

 

Thursday, 01-21-10 - She successfully underwent surgery to repair her shoulder and her thigh.

 

Wednesday, 01-20-10 - She was transferred to University of  Toledo Medical College, where she would be under anesthesia less time, because there are more orthopedic surgeons.

Tuesday, 01-19-10 - Betty slipped and fell in a parking lot in Fremont, OH, and broke her shoulder and thigh.  She was taken to Fremont Memorial Hospital, where she was stabilized, and was awaiting surgery.
